Tumbling, one of the most popular sports offered by the girls, Phys- ical Education Department, was rt highlight of the year. The girls not only enjoyed themselves, hut, as a feature of Sportsnight, they gave the audience a thrilling show. They rolled, tumbled, flipped, flopped, and dove gracefully and rhythmically to the delight of the spectators. Golf, the newest addition to the Physi- cal Education program, was unique in that it was the only sport played ofif campus. Trudging across the course, under tl1e Weight of their clubs, the Seniors putted, drove, and sliced their way towards the eighteenth hole. Sportsnighl had finally arrived and the oliicial cntrance hy both tcams was under way. After a spirited display of songs, cheers, and cos- tumes the girls participated in a number of com- petitive events, such as marching and calisthenics. The presentation of the trophy to the winning team brought the evening to El thrilling climax. Although the first impression of Sportsnight is one of intense competition, its true aims are to promote sportsmanship, build friendships, and help provide for the Scholarship Fund.
