This study also aided them in the many tests required for college entrance and college scholar- ships. O the mathematician, the slide rule is Al source of obtaining a rapid calculation. The Slide Rule Club was formed with the objective of aiding students to meet the challenge of this mathematical tool and to operate it properly and efficiently. After thorough instruction, the students work on their own, solving problems.

During the school day they help other stu- dents use library materials, charge out books, and keep books in order on the shelves. The spell of silence in the library was broken this year for the club's social program which in- cluded a Book Week reception for the faculty, a Valentines Day Social for the squad, and a formal luncheon. The purpose of the club is tri-told: mastery of cooking. serving, and table-setting techniques. Two parties completed the agenda for the year. One was a pizza party, and the other, held in june, was a cookout. All guests agreed that thc boys possessed potential talents in the art of cookery.

The four interior sets in The Mfzlrlmnzker boasted of the professional tech- nique these students employed. OR those pupils interested in art this club affords a creative outlet and the opportunity to experiment and acquire skill in many different media such as oils, watercolors, and pastels. The ultimate selection of material is governed by the student's own interests. One of the features of the club's program this year was a spring exhibit.
