Each participant chose his experi- ment and then endeavored to carry it out. These future scientists experienced a few dis- comforts-minor explosions, obnoxious odors, and escaping gases. The practical chemistry background they obtained, however, more than compensated. Certificates of Merit to the outstanding scientists were awarded in the spring. RGANIZED to further the interest in bio- logical science, the Biology Club members experimented both in individual and group projects, The projects included preparations ot' slides, preservation of specimens in plastics, micro- photography, and the culture of various types ot' living organisms. Semester projects included laboratory field trips and a display in the science showcase depicting principles and techniques in the field of biology.

In addition to entering contests, these Massa- pecjua wizards take field trips to various places of scientific interest. O provide service as laboratory assistants to all science teachers was the goal of the Squad members. These selected students maintained and repaired equipment and kept .1 functioning film- slide library. The term project was a general inventory of all science supplies, each member being respon- sible for a particular group of supplies.

Members of the Camera Club are taught to take effective pictures and to develop tilm. The more advanced photographers proved their usefulness to the entire student body at M. H. S. by snapping photos of the numerous athletic, social, and club activities during the year. Some ingenious members aided the seniors by taking portrait pictures for their college ap- plieations.
