Each participant chose his experi- ment and then endeavored to carry it out. These future scientists experienced a few dis- comforts-minor explosions, obnoxious odors, and escaping gases. The practical chemistry background they obtained, however, more than compensated. Certificates of Merit to the outstanding scientists were awarded in the spring. RGANIZED to further the interest in bio- logical science, the Biology Club members experimented both in individual and group projects, The projects included preparations ot' slides, preservation of specimens in plastics, micro- photography, and the culture of various types ot' living organisms. Semester projects included laboratory field trips and a display in the science showcase depicting principles and techniques in the field of biology.
