HE Gold Key, one of the highest awards of the Long Island Girls' Association, is pre- sented each year at the june banquet to those girls who have earned six hundred points in their extra-curricular sports during their four years at high school. Another challenge to the girls is the gold plaque, also awarded by the L. I. G. A. This plaque, which is given to the girl in the senior class who has accumulated the most points. was presented to Carol Lawson at the annual Gold Key Dinner. C. Lawson. I Fox, J. Green, I, Allo. ADMINTON is one of the newer sports offered to girls in Massapequa, and enthu- siasts turned out in full force, Under the patient guidance of Miss Lenker. the girls accomplished much more than just watching that birdienf They proved their skill by defeating Central, Oceanside and South Side to claim first place in the Long Island Girls' Association Iiall Playday. VERY Monday and Wfednesday a group of eighty bowlers gathered in the gym waiting for the bus that would carry them to the bowling alleys where they released their energy and built their scores. The girls really sent those balls fly- ing straight toward the pins.
