THE CLASS OF 1982 PRESENTS . THE MUSTER ■1|||i|giiiii 1 9 8 2 Phill solito Dave Shea on the steps to Quebec city. David O ' Donnell punking out! Bob Shea Bill Bourbon 15 23 Steven Hirvi - Hirvdog 4Ridgewood Rd. Paxton, Mass. President ' s List, Running, Intramural Sports Three years ago, when we arrived at MMA, few people knew what chal- lenges the future would bring. During our orientation, the late President Lee Harrington told us to look to those people to our left and right, as we stood in formation. He said that when we graduate in 1982, one out of three will not be present. Unfortunately, time has proven him correct. Many cadets found the academic requirements too rigorous. Others could not adapt to the mili- tary environment. Some, simply, became disenchanted after a semester or tow. Steven Hirvi does not fit into any of these catagories. He did not have the same control over his destiny. Steve Hirvi may not graduate with the class of ' 82, but for the wrong reasons. One of Steve ' s greatest assets is self-discipline It has made him a credit to himself and to the Academy. Hirvdog has been recognized as an exemplary cadet since day one. No one deserves the academic honors more than Steve. Until people got to know him, they wondered about this kid who stayed every weekend, slaving for the perfect average. When Steve opens a book, he can ' t hear an explosion beside him, but when the work is done, it ' s strictly party time. As many people know, Steve is an avid and talented runner. Why? The reasons are hard work and determination. These key words describe the attitude towards everything that Steve sets his sights on. With the challenges that face him now, there is no one whom we have more confidence in than Steven Hirvi, He has never disappointed and has often surprised us. His absence this year has been most strongly felt. We wish God speed in his recovery and expect nothing less than to shake his hand at Commencement in 1982. written by: 1 C Shaun Golden 25 GRADUATING CLASS OF 1982 James M. Cabucio - Jim 7 Gurney Rd.
