These past three years have tmdoubtedly had a profound impact on your lives and those close to you. You have also had a profound impact on count- less patients to vriiom you have been helping, giving, understanding persons as you developed your skills in lainistering to huawn needs. You have emerged as a graduate nurse after rtiat undoubtedly seemed like total immersion I You have had opportunities, as a learner, to try out the various roles of a graduate, professional nurse, to develop and test your ca- pacities, to stretch your capabilities, and to achieve a greater degree of self- awareness and self-actualization. You have been learning to ’’get it together” and what you have emerged with is different for each of you ie hope that you have been able to get your bearings, to gain a sense of direction and look for- ward to the future with eagerness, anticipation, courage and hope. 6
