DEDICATION ul. As we look back over the past decade and closely follow the develop- ment of our college, one individual stands out above all others. He is a man who acceptedthe responsibility ofhelping to establish a new type of institution in our commonwealth - the community college. He is a man who worked long and hard with his colleagues to attain this goal. He is the man who guided Massachusetts Bay Community College through its difficult moments to the place it now holds among the highest ranking educational institutions of Massachusetts. At the end of this first decade the class of l97l of Massachusetts Bay Community College is honored to dedicate this yearbook to the founding and current president, John F. McKenzie, expressing the hope that the college through his leadership will continue to grow and to serve the people of this commonwealth.
