S CRETARIAL CLUB The purpose of this club is to supplement the secretarial program by bringing girls together that have the same interests and goals. Its function is also to stimu- late their thinking and to increase their ability to lead and to create. This is done by various activities and affairs. Speakers from numerous organizations and com- panies have given the members of the Club a broader understanding of the uProfessional Secretary. The program for the year was one of great interest and enjoyment. In November, National Secretaries, Association presented us with a guest speaker which dealt with the club's association with other colleges. During the month of December, we had a hair stylist. In February, a speaker from the airlines gave a very en- lightening speech. At the end of April, the Club presented the Annual Fashion Show. This was our main event and one in which all our members participated. Its purpose is to serve refreshments at school functions, such as Humanities Series and Social Teas. The members of the Committees learn how to prepare and serve refreshments for large groups. They also learn helpful hints that will be valuable to them in future years. The Club sponsors trips to museums and concerts, holds meetings on mattCI'S Of Cultural interest, and maintains bulletin boards of current activities.
