Number Twc In State . . . The 1981-82 basketboll season was a memorable one for the MCHS Lady Patriots ond Coaches Cindy Almen- dinger ond Alon Cherry. The Lady Patriots reached the summit of high school bosketboll in the state with o second ploce finish in the state finals or Champaign. The Lady Patriots finished the season with 21 victories against 5 losses. High point players were Senior Joycelyn Bradford with 17.6 points per game; Senior Carol Bremer with 21.8 points per game.- Junior Kathy Bradford with 8.9; Carol Bremer Junior Carol Burton, 7.6 points per gome; ond Senior Karen Anderson, 7.3 points per gome. The offense averaged 57.7 points per gome. On defense, top rebounders were Carol Bremer with 10.4 rebounds per gome; Joycelyn Bradford, 10.3 re- bounds; ond Korhy Bradford, 6.2 re- bounds. The defense allowed 44.9 points per gome. Following their second ploce finish ot Champaign, the Lody Patriots returned to MCHS on Sunday, March 25, to participate in o county wide celebration ond pep roily held in the MCHS gym.
