 Faculty Members and liead Ccck Mary Marquess Mary Krueger i Mary Helen Marquess retires with 23 years of toral reaching ex- perience. During her career she has taught or Golconda High School for two years. Norris City High School for one year, Brookporr High School for eigh- teen years and Massac County High for o single year. She and her husband, Carl, reside in Poducoh. Ms. Marquess is o Murray Store graduate where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. In ad- dition to teaching physical educa- tion at Brookporf High School, she served os cheerleading sponsor and yearbook advisor for two years. Ms. Marquess has also taught Home Economics, Beading, a Title 1 course, Consumer Educa- tion, ond Health and Safety during a distinguished career. Her hob- bies include waferskiing and boating. Mary Krueger's retirement at the conclusion of the 1981-82 academic year marks her tenth year of service in the Metropolis school system. During that time she served as Assistant Cook prior to her appointment os Head Cook on the high school level. Ms. Krueger ond her husband, Melvin, live at Route 3, Metropolis. They lead active lives entertaining their four children and two grandchildren. Ms. Krueger's hobbies include collecting cookbooks and gardening. She also stated that she enjoys work- ing with people, particularly children. She has spent o lifetime in Metropolis and looks forward to the leisure life of retirement in the community while working with the humane shelter in Paducah. 5
