Through these pages of the 1959 MONDIKE, we have attempted to show the faces and places most familiar to us as we travel a make-believe sawdust trail, show- ing the Administration, Teachers, and Students working together to better their performances for their School, Community, and Country. Fullback He started the Gunners attack at fullback and remained the steady fullback the rest of the season. He was always called upon to make that extra yard for a first and ten. He was a fine backer up on defense. He was our Co-Captain and also received honorable mention on the All-County Squad. FRANK WROBLE Moe 5' 9 160 lbs. Right Half He started out at quarterback, at midseason he was shifted to right half where he did a very fine job. He also played a little at fullback. On defense he did a fine job at defensive halfback. 133 ., A JOHN MAYGER '5Mage 5' 11 165 lbs. Right Half He started off the year with a bang on the reverses, but at mid-season was in- jured and from that time on did very little playing. On defense at halfback he did a very good job. NICK NASTASI Mickey 5' 8 180 lbs. Right Guard All year he did a good job of making holes and getting his man on traps. As line- backer on defense he did valuable work. On defense he did a very good job of holding the middle of our line, and made Honorable Mention All-County, and was Co-Captain. JOHN PSENICSKA John 5' 9 Right Guard Although John didn't hold down a per- manent position on the team he was a main part of our bench strength. 63 BILL VIGNALI Bill 5' 8 180 lbs. Outside Tackle His actions on thc offensive team were few, but he did the greater part of his playing on defense where he was a guard. RON LINCOLN Line 5' 11 155 lbs. Left End 25' He started out the season at Left End on the starting Team and stayed there, until an unfortunate traflic accident put him in the hospital and out of action the rest of the season.
