The Sophomores soon saw to it, however, that we became acquainted with our fellow students by giving us a rousing initiation. The girls were particularly humiliated when they had to star in a football game on that memorable day. We were known as the sober Freshies then, because we were hard workers and very studious pupils. Many of our classmates made the honor roll. Glow four years can change peoplell Our first Sophomore days were spent plotting ways to 'welcome' the new Freshmen. Our initiation highlight was the 'corpse' of the Freshman Class. The football stars of our class then stepped into the limelight and never-to- be-forgotten names such as 'Babe' Leasure, 'Gook' Stan- dish, joe Parimucha, Robert Burchianti, Ray Lesnick, Bill Kusniar, and Mike Ewanik began gracing the sports' write- ups of M. H. S. Our dramatic stars ended a fun-packed year by appearing in the Annual High School play, 'Dead of the Night. Our biggest and best Junior activity was the junior dance held in mid-January.
