SIXTH AND SEVENTH GRADES We have had a wonderful time this year in many ways. First. we have learned to know two new friends. James and Calvin Bowling. We have tried new methods to help us learn: poster maps, dot maps. and cut-out foreign villages in geography: diaa grams, word booklets. and the Mistake Box in Englishg notebooks, food exe periments. and health charts in our other work. We won't soon forget Mrs. Carters hell. our Christmas blackboard dee- oration, or our trip to Cincinnati. As Miss Johnson says. It's been a good year for school. -Mrs. Mary Martha Carter, Teacher. . Betty Craft. 59 ima Q., iss J- .f,, Q GRADE FOUR FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADES The fourth and fifth grades had nine pupils each until Mack Bowling. from Lodge 311. joined the ranks of the fourth grade in February. Of the nineteen people in the room. ten take music. Most of them are piano pupils: but one takes violing and two of the boys. Martin Nowak and Pete Harper. take on horns. We have had very few of the chil- dren absent because of sickness this year. Earl Campbell had to have his' appendix taken out. but he was absent only three weeks. All are looking forward to the end of school. and all hope to be pro- motcd to the next grade. -Rose Ellis Ball. Teacher.
