Junior Red Cross Junior Red Cross Officers: Dagny Erickson, Vice-Presidentg Gretchen Vadheim, Presidentg Diane McCarty, Secretary- Treasurer. Representatives pictured are Sally Woodard, Toni Long, Fred Syvertsen, John Stewart, Mike King. The activities of the Junior Red Cross benefit the needy. Any money raised during a campaign is used for the relief of those less fortunate than we. Red Cross Boxes, filled annually, are especially for the children in war-torn countries. We are proud of the unselfish generosity of Mason students in their effort to give as much as they are able. Voice of Christion Youth Mason's VCY Club meets weekly for Christian fellowship and the promotion of clean, moral living at school and is composed of individuals from many dif- ferent churches. Guest speakers- and outstanding youth leaders are heard as well as local talent. Christian films have also been a part of the program. The club has had exchange meetings with clubs from other Schools and also L.to R. Carol Atkinson, Karen Ristvit sponsors a Quiz Team. Comero Club i Camera Clubbers are clustered around one of this year's projects - Table-top photography. Also the members took pictures of school sports - football, basketball, baseball and track, some of which were used in this book. This year three groups of Y-Teens were necessary to accommodate the large interested numbers of girls at Mason. Projects for the year included Trick or Treat for UNICEF and helping the less fortunate during the holiday seasons. Highlights of the year were the Fall, Winter and Spring Tolos held at the YWCA's Weyerhaueser Hall. There have also been swim parties and dinners. A Mother-Daughter Tea was given for eighth grade girls. A Hayride culminated the year's activities. Model Plone Club Model Plane Club members show off their workmanship. Meeting every other week, the club is principally interested in gas-en- gine powered planes, although solid and rubber-band powered planes are also made.
