Early in Sep- tember SO boys turned out for football. Work- ing hard, they improved under Coaches Harold Naubert a n d George Miller. The Mustangs opened their season with a scoreless tie. Having been defeated by Gault October LL, the Must- angs turned in their best performance against McCarver October 17. Although McCar- ver won 6-O, Mason played a good game. Following that game the current junior high season was discontinued in favor of an influenza epidemic which hit Tacoma.
