aturday Night Feuerv The highlight of the evening was the prom. A variety of music, both country and disco, was provided by leff Mazuk. The gaiety of the evening erased all sad thoughts of departure for the Seniors. It was not until the last light was turned out and the door was locked that it was truly realized that the Seniors vvere, indeed, gone. Ellen Eckert and Sharon Geistvveidt look on enthusiastically. The Juniors go all out in decorating. Tori Schuessler finds taping tablecloths to be very sticky business, Everyone has fun dancing to the variety of music that is played. The junior-Senior Prom portrays the theme Saturday Night Fever. Eli Ca5llll0 and Robert Bowers read the prophecies. 25

Juniors and Seniors Catch The junior-Senior Prom portrayed the theme Saturday Night Fever by incorporating u- niqueness and imagination. The banquet was held in the Mason High School Cafeteria on May 13, 1978, at 8:00 p. m. The prom was held in the Elementary Gymnasium following the banquet. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal. The prophecies for the Senior Class of T978 were read by Eli Castillo and Robert Bowers providing entertainment for all. Music is played bv leff Mazuk. Are some people immune to Saturday Night Fever? VI ' Scott Schmidt seems to have lost his partner. Everyone enjoys the meal served by the Sophomore waiters and waitresses. Mr. and Mrs. Geistweidt and Mr. and Mrs. Eckert are Leslie Mansell really gets into his dancing, sponsors for the prom. 24

All-Sports Banquet Honors The All-Sports Banquet for 1977-78 held in the Mason High School Cafeteria on May 16, 1978 displayed the success of the Mason athletic program. The award presentations were in the High School Auditorium. All athletes, lunior High School through High School, were recognized. Individual honors on the High School level were also presented. Lyla Keyser was named Girl Athlete and Arvid Carlson was named Male Athlete. In Girls' Basketball, Sharon McFarland was given the Most Freethrows Award. Melinda Holt and Felicia Henke were co- winners of the Player-Coach Award. Sherri Holt was named Outstanding Athlete. In Boys' Basketball, Tommy Haines received the Most Freethrows Award. The Player-Coach Award was given to Arvid Carlson, and john Watson was named Most Valuable Player, Track Team. Mr. Graham is presented with a picture of his District Champion Mr. Graham welcomes the new Head Coach and Assistant Coach, and says farewell to Coach Tim Lehmberg and Rhonda Durst are Iohnny Clawson' named Outstanding Athletes in tennis. 26
