FHA Celebrates Another Successful Year it l Sylvia Martinez gives her Little Sister, Melody Ritter, a gift. The Future Homemakers of America had their annual Mo- ther-Daughter Banquet on April 25, 1978 at the High School Cafeteria. During the proceedings, the outgoing officers outlined the year's accomplishments, and the incoming officers were in- stalled. The Little Sisters learned of the identities of their Big Sisters, and businesses who supported the Co-op students were recognized. All in all, there was lots of food and fun, The Banquet was as successful as the past year had been. 1 The incoming officers for 1978-79: Lyla Keyser-Songleader, Sheri Kidd-Parliamen- tariang Lori Leifeste-Treasurer, Kerry Graham-Second Vice-President, Sherri Holt-President, Barby Allen-First Vice-President, Darby Keller-Secretary, Shiela Henke-Reporter, Beth Pounds-Pianist, President for 1977-78, Cindy Danz, lets FHA Beau, lames Donop, taste the spaghetti. 21

FTA Ends With cz Splash The Future Teachers of America had their annual picnic on May 1, 1978, at the home of Eddie Wilks. After a refreshing swim, a hamburger supper was served. Mr. Billy Mikeska, science teacher at Mason High School, spoke to the mem- bers about his teaching career. Ag Has Active Year The Mason chapter of the Future Farmers of America held their banquet in the Mason High School Cafeteria on May 9, 1978. After the barbeque dinner was served by the State Champion Meats Team with assistance from the Freshman FFA'ers, the individual honors were presented. Tori Schuessler received the Best judge Award. The Star Co-op Award was presented to Danny Dockal. Four in- Tori Schuessler dividuals, Mark Spaulding, Darby Keller, Brad Holt, ant Henry Dominguez received the Gary lohnson Awardf Wade Schuessler was named Star Chapter Farmer, li Eckert-Lone Star Farmer, and Randy Kruse-Sta' Creenhand.
