Homecoming. . . Cheers and Tears Pride radiated from our smiling faces as we stood with heads held high and tears came to our eyes. It was the last game of the season, a victory for Mason over Big Lake. Now it's hard for the seniors to say good-bye to yesterday. As the tension mounts, johnna Bierschwale and Kim Hibler wait Sherry Fleming enjoys the luxury of being crowned Football Sweetheart in silence. on Puncher Spirit The spirit activities included: competition between the classes to see who could yell the loudest, spirit walks to town, Hobo Day, original skits by the cheerleaders, spirit- building music from the band, a cowgirl award each week to the most spirited pep squad member, honk parades, a car decorating contest and, of course, sign painting on Mondays after school. We stood together as one for our players and school. In all it was a great year for the entire student body. for the Puncher's opposing team, Right: Punchers march to victory.

FHA Sponsors Dance-A-Thon The Dance-A-Thon provided a fun way to raise money for landscaping the Mason High School campus. Eve- Above, The band provided incentive to the participants throughout the night. ryone went home with tired and blistered feet, but the cause was justified with the satisfaction of hav- ing contributed. The participants raised 51,600 by dancing from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., eight consecutive hours with five-minute rest periods to each hour, Out of the 34 couples that entered, 30 survived. The names of two cou- ples were drawn, and these were given trophies. The two couples were: Debra Zavala-lavier Rodriquez and Felicia Henke-Terry Kidd. Ribbons were given to the remaining survivors. The major reward of the Dance-A-Thon Greg lordan and Kerry Graham forge on toward their seemingly unreachable goal. are the trees and shrubs used to land- scape the campus. 17
