G Q3 00 X 1 T . ' Y' lx 77144414 my same cvzewofwl In this, the centennial year of Mason County, we wish to present to you the historical rec- ord, not for one hundred years, but for the school year 1957-58. It was Alexander Pope who said: 'Tis education forms the common mindg Just as the twig is bent the tree's inclined. These are the bending years, the years of learning. The Branding Iron is presented to you in the theme of Life at School. Ten, twenty, or more years in the future when you thumb through the pages of this book, we, the annual staff, will feel that we have achieved our purpose if you are made to remember this year with a smile.
