0I'elU0l'Cl Our high school years constitute but one small scene from our stage of life. This Anchora of 1952-1953 is brought to you by the class of '53 in hopes that the old friends, the new friends, the good times in and out of the classrooms will all come back to life as you turn these pages. The setting for this year's performance has been one of high tension and national interest with the Korean war still raging and the change of admin- istration bringing Dwight Eisenhower forward to lead us. The citizens of Mason, too, realized the need for a change and a new school is now being constructed. Despite these national and local changes we continued to play our parts on the stage of life at M.H.S. The years may pass, but this one scene from our lives will endure. May we all look back and recall it as one of the most successful and happiest we played. Ground is broken for the new school by Board Members McLean and Bray, with Mr. VanderVen looking on.
