Sophomores ...lli Q Bang! An overshoe lands by the paper shoot. Whack! A locker abruptly stops the flight ot another. Where's a hanger for my coat? I hid one right here last night. I always have to go without a hanger, and with a vicious thrust a coat sails over the bars and talls in a heap on the other side, along with a couple other jackets and a coat picked up on its flight. Oh, now I can't open my locker. Helen, you try it. It's locker number 186-my combination is 32-l7e9. Don't tell any- one else, will you? The speakers voice carried clearly way down the corridor. Gee, Helen, you're a genius. Thanks! My comb? Look in this Latin book: it it isn't there it's in my Algebra book. General assembly? Sit with me. l got something to tell you. Sure, it's important. Let me at the mirror now. Am I okay? VIVA RIKER Let's get going thenq it's late. M'1m 'Im'j?S X N . I Do you Wonder why the sophomores barely reach their home-rooms on time? Potter, C. Perkins. Iuniors O The Iuniors are those sophisticated people who are at the bottom of those awful smells that come from chemistry labora- tory. They jabber French to Freshmen, and draw angles, cir- cles, and what-not. Iuniors are deciding factors in football, baseball, and basket- ball games. They can be seen behind horns, fiddles, and drums at all music programs. The front page news for Maroon and Blue comes from the Iunior class. But, more important than all this, they are the people you see scattered around the building on Friday nights trying to coax a nickel from the candy lovers. Then, you will find Grace Fruin and Lois Ray fcandy managersl bewailing the loss of a candy bar tit was all a matter of additionl. Or maybe it is Gloria Warner and Betty Bateman planning dinners for the teachers. If you are still hungry, there is Bim Franklin, at all football games with hot-dogs and sandwiches. If it is not one of these, it is Doris Thompson urging each Iunior on to bigger sales of Christmas cards. Most distressing of all, Doris Abel wails over a heavy snow storm on the night of the Presidents Ball. It all leads up to a grand finale, however, for it makes pos- sible a reception for the Seniors, a night to be remembered for a lifetime. OFFICERS President ........ , , ......,..... . . .
