All through the fall up to the time of the contest the team worked very hard and Mr. Bartley spent all of his spare time with the team coaching them. A week before the national contest Clarence Reynolds, the highest man on the team, became ill so we did not stand as good a chance. Mason rated eleventh out of thirty-three states and two men received diplomas for high scoring. The team was gone for five days and had a very enjoyable trip and some great experiences. The men who were on the team were Clarence Reynolds, who could not make the trip, Hollis Bartlett, Allen Frederick and Victor Hill. cf. Three of the team's members were chosen on the Little Twelve Cham- pion Team, and three were chosen on the second team. lst team: Ellis Hazelton, Jess Curtis, Loren Leonard.
