But after our two first games our ranking was now 15th in the state and going into the Hillbrook Clas- sic after our opening five games our ranking was number 13. The Clark County Cardinals came back to beat the Royals in the final game of the Regional Tourn. which withheld the fourth ranked team from playing in the Sweet Sixteen. This was Coach Feldhaus’ second time being named Coach of the Year. His team also had the second best re- cord in the state last season and this gave him a fourth year of 30 or more wins in one season. Deron Feldhaus and Jerry Butler were invited to the Northern Kentucky Blue Chip Basketball Camp. Jerry was named to the All Star second team while Deron was named to the All Star first team and received M.V.P. honors at the camp. After beating the 30th ranked team in the nation, Romulus, Michigan, the Royals were in the fifth seat and after winning the Mason County Invit. we earned our spot as fourth best in the state.
