SENIOR CLASS SPONSORS THIRD AND BEST HOMECOMING!! On Friday, October 20th, Mason County High School's student body witnessed what seemed to be the best Homecoming ever! The football game was a scream as the Royals beat West Carter in an ex- citing game with the score of 48-6. At halftime, the Homecoming court made their way up the 50 yard line as the crowd became anx- ious to see their 3rd Homecoming queen crowned. The court con- sisted of Tonya Chamberlain with escort Barton Turner, and Lisa Heflin and escort Jamie Pogue represented the freshman class. The Sophomore class voted for Linda Chouinard with escort Sammy Welch and Leigh Hackney with Ron Kimble. Michelle Simms es- corted by John Brannen, and Glenda Heminger escorted by Jeff Gillespe were the juniors on the court. Running for Queen were Tonna Truesdell escorted by Jeff Cracraft, Becky Foster with escort Trent Hamilton, Sandy Jones with David Orme, and Debbie Adamson with escort Jeff Lytle. Anticipation came to a peak as Duane Faris announced the new queen, Debbie Adamson!!! After the incredible game, a dance was held in the gym lobby with music provided by John DeSpain. Everyone enjoyed the home- coming festivities and Mason County High homecoming will grow with excitement as the years go on but the 1980 festivites will not be forgotten. THE MUNCHKIN SCHOLARS The Home Economics 4 Activities class sponsored nursery school again this year. 32 small children participat- ed, enlightning every teachers day. Activities were planned to take up every spare minute and they covered a wide variety of topics such as, ABC's, Animals, shapes, colors, Hal- loween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and more. They visited the Fire Depart- ment, went Trick-or-Treating through the fieldhouse, had a visit from an Indian, and Santa Claus, and even had a graduation ceremony complete with caps and diplomas.
