Stuff The juniors sell programs, 56 Mason County Girl’s 1977-78 Basketball team with their Manager Rhonda Rice Senior Member Sarah Tollner 57 “On Royals let’s win this game. Come on, Central, show them our fame. All for one and one for all, we’ll fight for MCHS. MASON COUNTY!” The Seniors of 1977-78 were from left to right James Chambers, Dwayne Thomas, Kirby Hamilton, Brett Walton, Wayne Stoughton and George Franklin. Koyal Power 58 During one of his famous times out, Coach Feldhaus discuss strategy. Nobody expected much from the Royals in 1977-78, but they were determined to do well and did so. Led by Joe Pollit, who averaged 17 points per game, the Royals ended their season with a record of 18 wins to only 8 losses despite another bad winter for basketball. In past season play, the team thrilled spectators with their Ken- tucky Wildcat brand of fast breaking bas- ketball to finish runners up in the District Tournament and to win one game in the Regional Tournament.
