PRINCIPAL- The task of our high school principal, MR. ELZA WHALEN, JR. is to organize, to plan, and to maintain proper human relationships. In these areas the high school administrator finds many rewarding experiences, especially when progress can be seen. Organization and planning help create an atmosphere involving pur- pose and common goals within the classroom. Hu- man relationships contrib- ute toward creating a de- sire on the part of students and teachers to do a better job. When achievement in all areas improves, a fetter school results. It is the desire of any principal to be a personal friend and counselor of each individ- ual student and teacher, even though it is sometimes a lonely job when decisions must be made and admin- istered based upon facts which he alone will or can know.
