Our First Year Together Together we have met the challenge of the first year in our new school. Coming from all parts of our county, we walked in wonderingly, but soon came to accept and admire all we saw. The colorful classrooms, the attrac- tive library, the facilities of home economics and science departments, the n practical design of our new building all aided us in joining to make 1960-61 a year to remember. Almost at once a new spirit began to form. Now we are Mason County High. After working together through the year, sharing experiences and memories, growing in knowledge and character, we feel that the spirit that surges through us should make us succeed individually and make our school succeed in be- coming a leader in every field.

Upon this Prime leaf our way of life has been dependent through the years, but our county also produces another prime leaf upon which our future is even more dependent. This is its youth. In this, the first yearbook of Mason County High School, we ay to picture the opportunities and activities afforded our young people by the far-sighted vision of those who believe in building snong foundations for our future. 3
