We Self LYDIA ZAJICEK Under the capable guidance of Lydia Zaiicek, the OFFICE ASSISTANTS have worked each hour to handle the endless details which arise and to keep the office running smoothly. A boy and a girl work in the office each of the five periods. Answering the telephone on the building's intercommunication system, checking daily attendance, sorting the mails, and running errands to various rooms and betwecn buildings are among the tasks performed by the assistants. Answering the phone is one of the tasks which keep Dean Baumgartner and Ardith Chapman busy during their one hour of work, Looking ua home room numbers of dif- ferent students is only part of the work which keeps Edgar Lomen and Lorraine Axiotis busy during third period, Checking attendance to see who is here and who is not is one among many tasks of Donna Perry and Clifford Van Ry during first period. Things are bound to be lost and to help the students find them are Rocha Katz and Bob Detra who keep busy during the fifth period of the day. Sorting the mail during fourth period is one job of Lorraine Kohoutek and Jim Chimbidis. Maria Gazes, Catherine Dirksen, and Shirley Gorham help the three administra- tors by doing a number of iobs, such as typing and recording.
