Mr. A. J. Woods became Principal of Mascoutah Community High School in the fall of 1956. He has won the respect of students and faculty through his friendly, firm and tolerant handling of school activities and problems. Mr. Woods received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Education degrees from Southern Illinois University. 5 He was Assistant Superintendent of Mascoutah ' A School. 5 A. J. WOODS Hobart C. Plab, President of the Board of Edu- cation, was born in Belleville on June 16, 1900. Mr. Plab has been a member of the Board of Edu- cation for twenty -seven years and has been President for twenty-five years. During his time of office Mr. Plab has seen Mas- coutah Community High School grow to its present enrollment of 360 students. His foresight lead to the planning of the present building which was completed in 1949-1950. Community Consolidated Grade Schools for five years previous to becoming Principal of the High HOBART C. PLAB
