SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In September, 1948. fourteen freshmen started their high school days at Mas- cot. They were Mary Leach, Janis Ludeke, Betty Luko, Nyla Lamb, Carla Broeker, Bonnie King, Dean Arehart, Richard Larsen, Dwayne David. Dale Brand, Roger Rupp, Irelee Luke, Mark Weeder, and Larry Kresser, On Novemberl, we welcomed a new member into our class,' Ioan Childers. Mrs. Cadwallader was chosen as our class sponsor and class officers were President, Irelee Lukeg Vice-President, Dale Brand, Secretary, Bonnie King: Treas- urer, Dean Arehart. In September, the Freshmen class came back full of pep ready to start their Sophomore year. We were disappointed to find that only nine members returned. Those return- ing were as follows: Dean Arehart, Dale Brand, Carla Broeker. Larry Kresser, Nyla Lamb, Richard Larsen, Janis Ludeke, Betty Luke and Irelee Luke. Mrs. Gies was chosen as our class sponsor and officers were President, Nyla Lambg Vice-President, Betty Lukeg Secretary and Treasurer, Janis Ludeke. We chose our class colors as Crimson and Gold, our class flower, Pink Carna- tion and our Class Motto, No Task Is Too Small Not To Do Well. All nine members retumed to start their Junior Year. We were glad to see everyone back to begin an exciting year. Those who returned were Janis Ludeke, Richard Larsen. Dale Brand, Dean Arehart, Irelee Luke, Betty Luke, Carla Broeker, Larry Kresser and Nyla Lamb. We chose Mr. Bloom as our class sponsor. Class officers were President, Carla Broekerg Vice-President, Larry Kresser, and Secretary and Treasurer, Janis Ludeke. In April we presented the play, Let Me Out of Here. The Junior-Senior Banquet was given at Oxford in the Legion Hull. We carried cut a Dutch Theme. In September, 1951, eight members started school at Mascot hoping to finish their high-school days. They were Janis Ludeke, Richard Larsen, Dale Brand, Dean Arehart, Irelee Luke, Betty Luke, Carla Broeker, and Larry Kresser. We chose Mr. Gleason as our class sponsor and Class officrs were President, Carla Broekerg Vice-President, Larry Kresser, and Secretary and Treasurer, Betty Luke. We chose for our class play, There Go the Grooms, which we presented in January.

CLASS WILL We, the class of 1952, of Mascot Consolidated High School, the County of Harlan, and of the State of Nebraska, being of sound mind and body after four strenuous years, do hereby make, publish, and declare this our last will and testa- ment, hereby revoking all former wills, bequests, and devices of whatever nature or formerly heretofore made by us. We. the Senior class will: To the Juniors our Sponsor, To the Sophomore: our willingess. To the Freshmen our dignity and neatness, To the Facutly our vim, vigor, and vitality. Dean Arehart wills his crew cuts and ability to handle Chevy's to Marvin Lubeck. Dale Brand wills his ability to keep and maintain order in the assembly to Davis Drake. Dick Larsen wills his ability to study and keep out of trouble to Leslie Drake. Janis Ludeke wills the 'Presidency of the Pep Club to Delores Deita. Larry Kresser wills his No. 12 basketball shoes and height to Carol Pouk. Betty Luke wills her giggle and pug nose to Darrel K. Lubeck. Carla Broeker wills her golden hair to Jackie Longsign. lrelee Luke wills his ability to get his lessons to Bobby S.
