Senior Class Prophecy The Juniors of 1949-1950, decided they would look into the Crystal Ball, see what the Seniors of 1949-1950 will be doing in 1955. As it is very foggy we can not see very well, but wait, it is getting clearer and our first gaze is at a radio station, Clint, C-L-l-N-T, Texas. Here we hear Bob Cook singing Mule Train. Between their advertisement of their products, they say he is doing quite well. As we leave this radio station our next gaze is upon a small mansion in the booming village of Atlanta. Here we see Lloyd Rawson, who waited for three years to marry Patricia Yerion. They were married last June. Lloyd is in partnership with Mr. Yerion at the Atlanta Oil Station. We now leave Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rawson, and our next gaze is on a little Red Schoolhouse. The teacher of this school is Miss Darlene Arehart. Darlene has gone to college for four years, but will she continue her career as a teacher, or will she quit and take up the art of housekeeping as Mrs. R ay Smith? As we leave the little Red Schoolhouse, we go to the beautiful state of Wyoming. Here we see the ideal man, Stanley Luke. He has a lovely home and a large ranch. He is now looking for a dear little wife, so girls beware, for he is known to be a wolf. As we drift away from Wyoming, we come back to a farm southwest of Oxford. where Mr. and Mrs. Harold Shield make their home. It seems .Toann's plans were to become a teacher, but after a three year engagement to Harold. they were married last year. We drift away from this happy home to gaze upon a farm northwest of Orleans. The owner of this farm is Mr. Donald Ekberg. He and Miss Anita Lueking are to be married in the spring. From this farm we next look in on Mr. Eldon Shield, who has finished patrolman school. He is now a very high class patrolman. Many said he took this course so he could protect his girl Marilyn Clayton. and also to be able to watch over himself: especially on Friday nights. Our next gaze comes to a rooming house in Lincoln, and on the porch swing we find Miss Beverly Lueking and an old acquaintance from Bertrand. It seems that Beverly had to go to college to get better acquainted with him, and it looks like she's doing very well. As we are leaving Lincoln, we come to a small home. Rented by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eisenbarth: on the lawn there are four lovely boys. It seems Mrs. Eisenbarth, formerly Ardis Broeker, must have changed her mind, or else he gave up hot rods: for in her last year of school, she said it was either the hot rods or her. 13

Joann Schroeder, wills her ability to get along with the Shield boys to Marilyn Clayton. Virginia Ventling, wills her height to Shirley Sandquist. Darlene Arehart, wills her smile to Irelee Luke . She trusts he will put it to good use. lZ

SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY-CONTINUED Our next gaze goes to Oxford, Nebraska. Here we see Miss Pearl Lamb. She is working as secretary to a prominent businessman, and seems to be do- ing very well. As we leave Oxford, we go to the small town of Ragan, Nebraska. Here we find Mr. and Mrs. Dean Berry. Mrs. Berry was formerly Charlene Ludeke. They are the owners of a small clothing store. We now travel on north to Holdrege, Nebraska, where we visit Miss Virginia Ventling. She is soon to become Mrs. Lawrence Greyg Lawrence and Virginia have waited for quite a long time and it seems Lawrence has been promoted to a higher rating on the Kansas-Nebraska Gas Line, and can now make a home for two. As we go back to Mascot, for our last visit, we see Keith Longsine out working on his car. The rumor is that he is getting his car all fixed up for that last long trip to get Gay Applebee. They are to be married in two or three days. This is our last visit with the Seniors, and we will now put up the Crystal Ball, and leave on our summer vacation. 1 14 V
