Class Will We, the class of 1950, of Mascot Consolidated High School, the County of Harlan, and of the State of Nebraska, being of sound mind and body after four strenuous years, do hereby make, publish, and de- clare this our last will and testament: hereby revoking all former wills, bequests, and devices of whatever nature or formerly heretofore made by us. We, the Senior Class, will to the Faculty our vim and vigor. To the Juniors, we will our seats in the assembly, and may all of them be filled next year. To the Sophomores, we give them our willing ability. To the Freshmen, we will our dignity and neatness. Lloyd Rawson, wills to Rex Cook his careful driving and the abil- ity to drive with one hand. Pearl Lamb, wills to Kathleen Mann her ability to take her re- sponsibilities so leisurely. Eldon Shield, wills his motto for a healthy, better life to Dale Brand. Beverly Lueking, wills her ability to spike in volleyball to Carla Broeker. Bob Cook, wills his ability to get dates with Joann Schroeder to Harold Shield. Ardis Broeker, wills her passion of getting and maintaining num- erous boy friends to Dorcel Upson. Bud Longsine, wills his Chevrolet driving to Dean Arehart. Charlene Ludeke,, wills her ability to get a date anywhere to Delores Deitz. Stanley Luke , wills to the less studious pupils, his ability to make English Class an interesting one. Senior Class History In September 1946, seventeen Freshmen entered Mascot High School. The following three were newcomers to our class: Ardis Broeker, Pearl Lamb, and Bessie Lanning. One of our first uncomfortable experiences was three long days of initiation. After days of wearing horrible costumes we finally became full- fledged students of Mascot. Jimmy Skiles came in the middle of the first semester and then left before the full school term was over. We chose Mrs. Sprague as sponsor and the class officers were: President, Keith Longsine: Vice-President, Robert Cook: and Secretary- Treasurer, Darlene Arehart. In September 1947 fourteen Sophomores enrolled at M. H. S. All of us seemed a bit more mischievous and rather less industrious than the year before. We chose Mr. Corneer as class sponsor and the class officers.were: President, Keith Longsine: Vice-President, Robert Cook: and Secretary- Treasurer, Pearl Lamb. We chose blue and gold for class colors, White Carnation as our class flower and We Choose Our Way , as class motto. Our Junior year we lost one of our class, but it proved to be a very busy and memorable year. We presented our class play, After All It's Spring , and gave the Junior-Senior Banquet at the Oxford Legion Hall, where we carried out the Good Luck theme. Class officers were: President, 'Robert Cook: Vice-President, Darlene Arehartg and Secretary-Treasurer, Virginia Ventling. Mr. Renner was chos- en class sponsor. Last fall we all returned to become the All-Mighty Senior Class of 1950. We presented our class play, You'll Die Laughing , in February. Our class sponsor is Mr. Menagh and class officers are: President, Pearl Lambg Vice-President, Darlene Arehartg and Secretary-Treasurer, Beverly Lueking. The members of our class who have attended all twelve years at Mascot are: Charlene Ludeke, Beverly Lueking, Keith Longsine, Lloyd Rawson, and Robert Cook. 10
