They currently have an office near the Junior High Cafe, which is open during school hours. Masco Peer Ed pro- vides education to the school through brochures, discussions, workshops, mov- ies and dramatic skits that focus on teen- age depression and suicide, separation and divorce, drug and alcohol abuse. Their latest project has been to create a peer pressure skit directed toward the sixth graders as a preparation for Junior and Senior High school. In addition, they have information on a wide variety of topics including: stress, nutrition, self-esteem, and death and loss. They also provide education to parent groups and other community groups. The Peer Eds will be participating in the prom campaign and are organizing to have a hot line for prom night to provide students PEER EDUCATION with a safe ride. They have a New Student Orientation program in cooperation with the Guidance office. The Peer Education Program is sponsored by the Tri-town Council. AMY JOHNSON 24
