THESPIANS The Masconomet Thespian Troupe 2408 is the schools soul group devoted to keeping alive the ancient Greek morals of the theater. The troupe is active in maintainin g a state of financial debt, no matter how many fund raisers we have. But still a few activities prevail — enter- taining at dinner dances and an occasion- al trip to New York’s infamous Broadway. Membership is attained by gaining a num- ber of points by showing a diverse interest in the stage, costumes, set design, con- struction, and business. Unfortunately we have had a set back in membership, but our advisor, Miss Jarvie, continues to be the gleaming figurehead of unity within our group. It has been a good year and thanks to our president Jenny Taylor for making it so. ALEC GILLMAN

Auditions are held each Spring. MODEL U.N. Assembly of schools from across the country. Each school assigned to represent a country in simulation of the real United Nations. Met at Harvard this Fall, will meet at the U.N. in the Spring. ' 18

Open to students taking Spanish. DECA CLUB (Distributive Education) Program of instruction which deals with merchandising, marketing, and management. Prepares students for careers in marketing and distribution. Gives students an opportunity to manage the DECA store. GERMAN EXCHANGE Masco students spend four weeks in Germany with a family, participate in family activities, attend school, and visit points of interest. In turn, students from Germany, usually from the same family, visit and stay with tri-town families for one month. 20
