Marywood Mothers' Club: ln Cctober l94U, Sister Margaret Agnes, as principal, called a meeting ot the mothers and pre- sented her plan tor a Mothers' Club at Marywood. The Club was officially started in November ot that year. lts first president was Mrs. C. Ross Littig, who has been succeeded in turn by Mrs. Den nis Heffernan, Mrs. Ella M. Hill, Mrs. Edward Brown, Mrs. Francis Dwyer, and Mrs. Harold Sinks. This year the Mothers' Club is under the leadership ot Mrs. Melva Phillips. Through the daunte less and untiring eftorts ot these presidents and their co-worlcers, this organization has given a great amount ot aid to the faculty, not only by increasing the school budget, but also by supporting the spiritual, intellectual, and cultural development of the stu- dents. jAe:5,oLan:5 IQ eame jedfiuaf janfady For the past three years, the Annual QnefAct Play Festival sponsored by the National Catholic Theatre Conference has had Marywoods name on the pros gram, conspicuous by its fine selections and performances of outstanding plays, Carrying on the tradition, the produc- tion, this time a Very stylized affair, Six Vtfho Pass While the Lentils Boil, gave excellent opportunity for the girls to get unusual acting experience and incidentally, to show their ingenuity in scenery construction, utilizing an array of wooden beams, a copper pot, and a soup ladle. This, added to the delight- ful story of the play itself plus the hard work of director and actresses, turned out a performance always to be re- membered.
