FORE ORD lc., v 4--f:P,, if Xe .72 t 1 . 5 Yearbooks around the country are published by high schools, colleges, and various educational organizations to record and preserve many pleasant memories. School years should be and are some of the best years of our lives and it has been proved by many generations that great pleasure is derived from yearbooks as years go by. ln our case, such a record assumes even greater proportion because we are un- folding a story of great importance in our program. There can be no doubt that all of us will look back on these years with many fond memories as we relive and retell the many events of our first years in the new high school. livery student in our school today should be proud of his part as a member of the social group that is helping to create an entirely new secondary school program and all of its related activities. Therefore the preservation by pictures and writing of these memorable occasions should be of real significance to all. Few students in our country have the privilege of living in a new and growing connnunity. Fewer still are those who have the opportunity to benefit from an educa- tional program as adequate as the one which your parents have made possible in this school district. You will always be able to look back with gratitude to the fore- sight and tlloughtfulness ofthe adults of this community who have made these facilities possible. It will be your task to be sure that you utilize to the fullest the opportunities now available. America is still the one large social and political unit which maintains that every boy or girl is entitled to the opportunity of a free high school education. Wlhether this opportunity is fully utilized remains for the individual to decide: however. the door is open if you wish to enter the halls of learning in our community and our land. K, 'Qa- 2
