Two years ago we faced a drasTic change wiTh The insTalImenT of a fence all around The school To indicafe The closed campus. Maryvale also had To deal wiTh The changes wiThin The sTaff. This year MHS received a new principal, Mr. George Mannon. ln The English DepT., we losT Mr. Dickerson To Adminishafion, buT Mr. SalT replaced Dickerson as English Chairman. These were some of The more drasTic changes, Maryvale losf many Teachers for various reasons and was happy To welcome The many new faces Thai re- placed Them, Over This quarTer of a decade. Mary- vale had wiTnessed many a fad buT has always been full af fashion. When MHS firsT sTarTed ouT iTs sTudenTs all were preTTy much The same buT now is very much The opposiTe. Today a sTudenT of every race, color, creed, environmenf, social sTaTus, and polifical parTy can be found on campus, which is noT a exag- gerafion. MHS, in a sense is iTs own kind of melTing poT.
