HELICGPTER: SURPRISE new way of bringing in the jewels was demonstrated at halftime. The crowd was amazed at the sight of a helicopter landing on the football field. Former king and queen Wayne Young and Tamera Hatfield were brought in by the helicopter to present the crown, tiara, and robe to the new king and queen. The winners were Undra Viverette and Jenny Tany. Undra Viverette was unable to accept the crown in person because he was playing in the game, so Dennis Sandford was brought in to represent him. This couple was still happy with the outcome of the evening. Emotions were high as the new homecoming royalty was being announced.
