1979 Viking Staff The Viking Staff, headed by Mrs. Bellow , made it through another year. The staff is smaller than usual with twenty -one students. Each person was responsible for more pages meaning more work. Many, many hours were filled planning and constructing the yearbook. 12- VIKING STAFF

First Row: Lori King, Debbie Lents, Mark Mallorey, Christal Imler, Linda Gehrke, Kim Ashley, Sonja Stoinoff. Student Council was very successful this year. They sponsored many different activities. Some of these were Homecoming , Coming Home and different dances. They also sold popcorn at home football games. One of the Student Council sponsored dances was the Homecoming at which the band “ Charlie ” played. The band “ Yankee Fire ,r played so well at the Christmas dance that they were asked back for the Valentine dance. This year the assemblies were very limited because there was a lack of space caused by the construction. At the end of the year Student Council donated to the new Youth For Understanding student. They also gave to the American Cancer Society. 14 - STUDENT COUNCIL
