Homecoming 1973-74 The Freshman Class was proud to have Julie Williams as their representative in this year’s homecoming activities. Freshman Joe Bixler was Julie’s escort. Angela Koppleberger was the lucky girl chosen to represent the Sophomore Class in the homecoming festivities. Escorting Angela was Junior Ken Sygit. The Junior Class made an excellent choice in Casie Boerre for their 1973-74 homecoming representative. Fellow classmate, Tom Malone, was Casie’s escort. A Viking march through the streets of Marysville, followed by a bonfire, sparked off the Homecoming Festivities of 1973. A snake dance led the team and students of M.H.S. to free refreshments donated by the Student Council. Once underway, the Homecoming Parade proved to be a success. The parade took a new route this year, which included all of the elementary schools. During halftime ceremonies, tension filled the stadium, as everyone waited for the 1973 Homecoming Queen, Karen Erno, to be announced. After the exciting 14-12 victory win over Chippewa Valley, everyone was in high spirits for the dance which followed. The band, Innermist, helped to make the dance theme, “Memories are Made of This,” come true for all who attended.
