l SOPHUMORES On thf srxth day of beptember rn 1933 the Sophomore class came self consciously rnto the Senior high building prepared to show the upper classmen that tl'ey were not the usual down trod en roup but 1 class which was Not at the top but climbing Our Sfrhon ore class after the eiccrtement of the first few we ks ettled into what appeared to be a monctonous rut Luckily however we o n became aware of oar drab existence and class organization was begun With the electron of officers, our work for the year began Farly rn the brsket ball season we arcusel much pep and en ' thus asm by grvrng ar unusually successful dance after one of thc basket ball games We discovered that though we belonged to a less experienced group we cotll compete very favorably with those who had had more experrerce Our class has been well reprf ented rn cvery lrne of sport particularly rn basketball and football In the inter class track meet our class showed enthusiastic cooperation It rs our hope that intramural sport wrll reveal sore 3ear s to come It rs wrth pride that we note that many of our members have been working drlrgently for recognition rn the honor socretv Another big f ature we presented was a program for the stu dent body to celebrate St Patricks Daw The program was pre scnte'l with an Irish taxcrn as thc ettrng and the participants wore Irish costurres Although delayed for a corsrderable trrrc we hnrlly had our partv ln April Nluch merrrment and good fellowship were rn ew dencc throughout the evening A varrcty of games wcre played IH which all took part 'lastv refreshments were serxe1 after which the merrrmakers left for their horreg and the able clcan up com mittee was left to erase the last xestrges of our good time Iet us hope that our next vears vovrge wrll be as Jovful and ucce ful rs this Q ph more vcar ha been . . - .. g .. lFRlESll-llMlEN On Septensber 6 a group of loud Freshmen came mto the hlgh school lettlng our loudness account for us We leally trxghtened the rest of the school even the Senlors But alas, we were soon quleteel down as all other Freshmen classes have been Our flrst soclal event was glven ln honor of the m1d year grad uatlng class from the Jumor H1g,h School Almost the entne cla s attended and the party was pronounced unusually successful much for our flrst adventure mto souety' Durlng the Annua' sale the Freshman class started' out very well but met wlth cfeat because the people were slow to recognlze that we actually belong to the hlgh school and were takmg part ln the school actlvltles We hope to do better next year Althol gh the Sophomoles and Junlors dad not care to have us 1n the Annual fo1 once the SGHIOYS d1d the Freshmen Justlce when they gave us a page m thelr year book We thank the Seniors agaln for lettmg us entel the Annual' sales contest and for our page ln the annual Many members of our class both boys and glrls are lnterested ln sports In the lnterclass track meet thls sprlng we met wlth mlsfoltune when Jack Ack rman our hundled yard da h man, fell when he had at least second place cmched There lg every posslblllty that the Freshmen class of 1934 wlll be the best class that wlll graduate from the Tumor Hlgh school and also flcm the bemor H1g.,h Hold tlght fellows and let show everv one We have started out well and we hope we w1ll end up as well We have the honor of bemg the fxrst class to po entlrely through the Junlor Hxph, that IC through the entlre course of the JUIHO1 H1gh School We have had a great tlme ln wur Freshmen vear and hope to keep on navmg a good tnre all the way through H1,qh School .A , ' . , I , . , . . . . , . . f . .
