A Week of Madness Five days of excitement, hoopla, and hysteria filled the Marysville Pilchuck campus during Homecoming week. At the coronation assembly, the class of '76 Homecoming Royalty were hon- ored before our own king and queen were crowned. A quarter a kiss was charged at the kissing booth during both lunches even though some students were willing to pay SIO to kiss the King or Queen. A fashion show was held at lunch by the Homecoming Royalty. The lavish at- l6 Homecoming 5 . l l tire modelled was furnished by the Lost and Found Department. Gales of laughter filled the cafeteria when the pie throwing contest took place. Whipped cream flew everywhere, including on the Court's hair and face. lt took Lea Sargent three days to get the vanilla scent out of her hair! Electricity crackled in the air at Fri- day's pep assembly. Students and facul- ty cheered and caused a ruckus, psych- ing the football players up for the game that night against Oak Harbor. Even though the home football games had to be held at Lakewood's stadium, it didn't stifle the crowd's in- toxicating enthusiasm one bit! Halftime activities were held and the class of '76 were again honored and pa- raded around the stadium, joined by MP's own royalty. The evening was topped off by the after-game dance. Everyone danced, got crazy, and had a terrific time, thus ending the Homecoming week of 85-863

I8 A.S.B. ln August, the Mt. Adams leadership conference began the year for our A.S.B. officers. At this meeting they met with other schools and discussed new concepts in leadership. During the year they attended many of these confer- ences to keep updated in leadership strategies. One of the main goals of the officers was to attain superb relations between students and teachers, Jana, our school board representative, started a commit- tee to help work toward this goal. The officers also set up a committee vote on a staff member of the month. They felt that the teachers' work de- serve our appreciation. Together these officers achieved many of their ambitions for the school, because they work well together as one big family. We're a unique network of individ- uals. We worked hard and learned from our mistakes. We've had a wonderful year and we will miss the special times we have had, said our President Tammy. This yeor's ASB are Pres. Tommy Olson, V.P. An- gie Shipman, Sec. Stacey Thompson, and Treas. Reid Martinka. Jana Garner, School Board Rep.
