O 7 0 Coaches FRED J, t'l'l,BERTSON has coached for three years here and five in other Washington high schools. During that time he has had some very fine football and basketball clubs. This past year he coached football. track, and was assistant basketball coach, We shall all miss him greatly next year. TOIVO lllll'l'O has proved himself very cap- able of coaching our boys. Although they won but few basketball tussles this year, they learned much from his tutoring in a speedier type of strat- egy. After graduating from the University of Oregon, where he earned a good name as a coach Mgrs. ball. Here this year he has coached varsity bas- ketballfassisted in football, and now is doing a fine job of coaching baseball. Loads of luck to you next year, Coach. DON DAHLQVIST attended l'tah State and graduated from C.P.S. He coached football, bas- ketball, and track one year nt Aberdeen High School, and football and track one year at C.P.S. He coaches golf, tennis, second team football and freshman basketball for us. The whole squad showed improvement from beginning to end. The squad of ten or twelve sophomores and juniors, coached by Mr. Culbertson, was a kind of training field to give the players experience for first- striug ball. Several players bounced back and forth from first to second team, also gaining the needed experience. Their coach, Mr. Culbertson, says, that the squad has a lot of good varsity material, being the best second team he has ev- er coached. He very much enjoyed coaching them because they were fast to catch on. and because they improved so much in every game. vllwfi Iluflk. 63 VARSITY SQUAD Kneeling gillndlnll F Sheldon Koplltz Lamont Damxsh Lmd Savage Buttke Stock Clark Dockendorf Sherman Baker R Sheldon Rose K1zer Franclsco Anderson Hylback Bates FRESHMAN SQUAD Left to Right- Nyblod Ledford Amb Beadle Hatch Hawley Lan don Parxsh Helle Nas!
