Mr. n , vu 7 r , vt pr nd 7 Gene , I 7 I I ' r 7 I , vi 5 Rt h rd S5 , se g n 1 - rmsy b hn rw Zhao ao! 7?47 We Juniors started the ball rolling this year by sponsoring an initration dance in honor of the Freshmen The Freshmen came wearing green ties and bows Prrzes were given for the smallest largest and prettiest bows and the evening was enloyed by everyone We presen ed to the students a Thanksgiving play representing a Thanksgiving dinner at home with the family Our Quil Ceda Carnival Princess Joyce Walberg was crowned queen thi year Soft music was played by iunio girls all during the Junior Senior Banquet which was attended by many students and proved to be a big succe s A three act play entitled Drums of Death was presented by the Junior class to the students and also to the towns people lt was somethlng different and was greatly enloyed by all The Princess who represented our school In dd A total of eighty seven students enrolled in the Sophomore Class this year As our class offrcers vice president Marlene Angus secretary and Donna Melville treasurer Mrs Mitchell and Mr Hallstrom were very helpful and cooperative as our class advisers We put on a Christmas play entitled When Amantha Comes The leading role was played by Roberta This play was given at a special Christmas assembly and was enloyed by the whole student body 65444 We as Freshmen were welcomed instead of ntiated and greatly appreciated the dance and a sembly given in our honor Prizes for the various green bows we were requested to wear to the dance were largest Donna Dettrich Douglas Brashler smallest Mari Lorenz Gene Stock and prettiest Margaret Moskeland Lawrence Lozeau the Strawberry Festival was none oher than ou own Corinna Morrison We had 30 members from our class In Torch Club and 20 were in Pep Club this year There are seven of our girls and fifteen of our boys in the M Clubs We have many outstanding athletes who took part in football basketball basdaall track golf and tennis and many of our boys also took part in the Smoker this year Our Junior Class basketball team were champions of the school de feating the other classes and also the Faculty We are proud of our class officers and feel that they have done much to make this a better class They were June Prater president Jack Haugstad vice president and Daun Krzer secretary treasurer To sum the whole thing up our class sponsored and took part in many activities throughout the year proving us to be useful as well as ornamental ay 7950 The annual Sophomore Dance was held on the night of April 2 in the high school gymnasium Chairman The theme was Out of this World The gymnasium was beautifully decorated in the center two figuers made of balloons At the close of the dance the balloons were released from the ceiling and a rush was made for them Only a few emerged with their balloons intact We are well represented in activities around school having ten students on the M Club twenty one in Chorus ten in the Bond and a large number in the Orchestra and in Torch Club ay 7957 The March of Dimes Dance and Armistice Day Assembly we sponsored proved successful Our Annual Carnival Princess was Jo Ann Smith and another member of our class Ruth Howell received the Red Cross Life saving Award We were well represented on the honor roll V1 sports in music and in activities PAGE THIRYY YHR . 4 . . f Y , . , , . 3 t l . .. .
