Ns , I my QV' lf J Wa 'fx' r xl l ,X N 7 SOPHOMORES On the srxth day of September rn 1933 the Sophomore class came self Lonscrously rnto the Serrror hrgh burldrng prepared to show the upper classmen that they were not the usual down trod en group but a class whrch was Nlot at the top but elrmbrng Our Scphorrore class after the erccrtement of the frrst few we ks ettled rnto what appeared to be a monrtonous rut Luekrly however we o n became aware of our drab exrstenee and class organrzatron was begun Wrth the electron of offrrers, our work for the year began Early rn the basket ball season we ar used much pep and e'r thus asm by grvrng ar unusually successful dame after one of the basket ball games We drseovered that though we belonged to a less experrenced group we could compete very favorably wrth those who had had more experrerce Our class has been well repre errted rn every lrne of sports partrcularly rn bask tball and football In the rnter class track meet our class showed enthusrastrc cooperatron It ls our hope that rntramural sports wrll reveal sore years to come It rs wrth prrde that we note that many of our members have been workrng drlrgentlv for reeognrtron rn the honm socrety Another brg' feature we presented was a program for the stu dent body to celebrate St Patr1ck's Day The program was pre sentel wrth an lrrsh taxern as the ettrng and the partrerpants wore Irrsh costurres Although delayed for a rorsrderable trrre we finallv had our party rn Aprrl Nlurh merrrment and grod fellowshrp were rn evr dence throughout the evenrng, A varretv of g,ames were played rn whrch all took part Tasty refreshments were serve1 after whrch the merrrmakers left for therr horree and the able clean up com mrttee was left tr eras the last xestrges of our ,good trme Iet us hope that our norct years vovagze wrll be as Joyful and succe sful as tlrrs S ph more ve rr ha been , f , l r my .
