'i NJ XV ln the Know In the first full year of ln the Know a dedicated group of students went all out in their search for that elusive question that just might come up at the next match. Our dedication paid off in matches with area schools tLondon, Jonathon Alder, Madison Plains, Delawarej and in tour- naments at London and Kenton in which fourteen central Ohio schools participated. Team members revealed surprising areas of knowledge: Lora Lewis was our outstanding religion and mythology expert, Rachel Snook scored on TV, movies and yes, Ivanhoe and Gone With the Wind t Good for at least one question every competition, Rachel! Todd Miller proved that he is a whiz on military and U.S. history: Marty Rausch is a math and science person and fthe truth is outll knows an amazing amount about sports. Dan Davis will take a shot at just about anything, and comes up right an astonishing number of times, it's his bloopers we all really wait for though. Sean Thompson and Bill Baldwin claim they are strickly into Science and Math. Another science question, p-l-e-a-s-e'? and Jon Price covered Art and photography questions t Bet you never forget what a Fresco is, Jon! Mary Geopfert participated until time pressures caught up with her. One of the hdlghlights ofthe Klear was the 1st Annual Teachers vs. Students Challenge Competition. On this memorable occasion Mrs. Liggett, Mrs, Nicely, r. Junker, and r. McCartney matched wits, successfully as it turned out, with members of the team. Watch out though, teachers, revenge is sweet! Advisors for the team, and therefore entitled to the best seats and all of the heat in the van, were Mrs. Skidmore and Mrs. Patton, if This year the Catseye magazine marked the end of an era - the final year of helpful assistance by Mrs. Anne Skidmore. For students to become members of the Catseye staff, they have to submit at least 3 entries of poetry, photography, drawing, painting, or prose, for publication. In addition to staff members working on entries for the magazine, they were also involved in the Valentine's Day Carnation Sale to raise funds for publication. English
