MHS Adds Golf To Athletic Program I 3 Roger Stanton, Jim Boss, Jerry Mlanley, Fred BF0Ckm9Y9F, Bill , Blackburn, Adrin Eley, Gene Laverentz. 'i ' ga For the first time since 1953, MHS entered golf competition. Since it has not been played in recent years, there were no returning lettermen, but seven boys were placed on the team roster. The team won its first meet of the year, against Belleville on the Marysville Country Club links on April 11 by the score of 211-220. The next week the team took part in the Beloit 5 Invitational Meet, finishing fifth in fast competition. 'Qs' The Concordia Triangular Meet on April 25 was next for the MHS golfers who finished close behind Concordia for second place. The improving Linksters finished third in the NCKL Meet at Belleville on May 10 behind Concordia and Beloit. Adrin Eley -and Jerry Manley were awarded letters with provisional letters going to Gene Laverentz and Jim Boss.
