Study Time Same here-Kuper Himilfon Happy family -Johnson, Rowland -Behrens, Cockerill, Rhodes, Mullen, Parry Seniors Have Busy Years On September 1, 1952, the first of four yeazs in MHS began for one hundred seven freshmen. They were destined to have the usual troubles with lockers and room locations. They organized and elected Jim Madden as president of their class and Miss Hill and Mr. Gerriets as sponsors. The only class party of the year was a skating party held at Club 36 on March 31. When September 8. 1953, rolled around, one hundred one sophomores confidently started thei: second year in MHS. They elected Casper Nester to the office of president and chose Mr. Martinez and Mr. Gerriets to serve as sponsors for the year. The class had two parties that year. On-2 was a Skating party held on September 21 at Club 36 and the other was a class picnic at Marysville'- lake. The seventh of September, 1951, marked ine lveginning ot' the third year in high school for ninety-four eager and enthuslastie juniors. Roger Stanton was elected to serve as president. Mrs, Toedter, Mrs. Visser, Miss llunstead and Mr. Hill wrxv- selected to sponsor the class. This year was Z1 busy one. The juniors sold concessions .lt games during basketball season and piesenteil Clown of Glory as their class play on Dec-nxber tl. l-Iilen Mt-Laughlin was elect.-Q the 1955 Bas- ketball Queen and was crowned on January Bl at the Marysville-Minneapolis game. The class la'-ll a tal'-nt show and played various games in tm- gymnasium as their party for the year. On May G the juniors were hosts to the seniors at the annual Junior-Senior Prom, The Desert Song . Thus, a busy year came to a clos-.-. On gf'lif0lll?'flY' 5, lfl55, eighty'-five sf-profs trnnarked upon their final year of high school. Fred Miller had been '-li- ted class president, Mss ,Xia-Mxiflen, Mr, Hanson and Mr. Stehls-jr were chosen as spfmsors. Pat Howland was elected the H133 l-'ootball Homecoming Queen and was crowngd hetvwezi halves of the Marysvllle-Beloit game. .lim Maenclele, Darrell llanson, and Ray Gleue were elected honorary fuotbfill co-captains: Hill ljlacizburn was elected honorary basketball captain, A pantominf party was held in the gymnasium on Ut-toner 103 hot dogs, pop, potato chips and brownies were serv-d.
