The heaviest man on the team weighed 174 pounds and the lightest weighed only 118 pounds. The team suffered very little from injuries and showed marked improvement throughout the season. Several of the games they lost were close games. The Bullpups have shown some very good ball handling this year which makes the prospects of a good team next year look very promising. They are instructed in the fundamentals of basketball by their coach, Homer Hanson. This year was the first time that the Marysville Bulldogs ever entered a holiday tournament. On Decem- ber 29-30 the Bulldog cagers journeyed to Salina to bring back the first place trophy they had won by defeating Marion 31-19 and Sacred Heart of Salina 23-22. The Bulldogs, playing under the mentorship of their new coach, Brice Durbin, started the basketball season in a very good way this year by outscoring their opponents in the first four games they played. By February 6 the Bulldogs have won four league games and lost two. Of all the games played they have won eight and lost five. The Bulldogs are looking forward to another chance to get into the state tournament in which they played last year. - ,f I 'J T 'Q I I' 4 xiefxifl 0 ' ' , J Qi 0 'I 'iv ee fi! S6ag.bU1?!V'TS Ca .
